Keeping Your Ember Burning...

  • This is a preliminary plan and not 100% confirmed to work but should give you a foundational baseline to build on. - Project Ember Vanguard is still extremely new content in the game. As you can see at the top of this page it is still getting active adjustments. There is honestly not much known in terms of strategy just yet. Each week we scratch the surface on the possibilities. In time I hope to have the Enemy/Elite in rotation noted above. Each week we only have 9 turrets to work with and find out what makes the best setup. Some find 3 that synergize well together and only use those 3 together. Some hot swap turrets each match, paring them to enemies they know will easily be defeated. The recent patch changes that have added Special Chips into the Chest and passes as rewards open up a little more options for both F2P and P2P members. The possible over all chip profiles are going to change dramatically now. This outline of how I have come to understand the Event will also change overtime. I will revise this as I get time to do so. Every player is given about 12 of these in total over the course of the event. Use of these to get the is critical if you are not spending money on the event. By spending money I don't mean spending for the Vanguard Pass. Spending money would be buying packages in the Vanguard Shop. It might be hard to understand how to make the best use of these. Some like to use these for the ability to x2 double points and push ranks. However there is another use that is even more important than the points and the you gain from victory is critical to improving your final ranking.. The best way to ensure victory is to always bet low on the 1 of 3 that gives the lowest points. If you are in a ranking area that is hard to pass with your current profile then you need to drop ranks in order to help improve the odds of your victory. Example: If you are in Diamond Rank 1. Manually enter Match and then quit. It might take several repeat times. Continue to drop rank until you are in Diamond 3 or 4. Then use your Dual Token. There is always a Risk that your opponent can win. So be sure to tap out and double check your Turret Lineup in regards to Enemy Lineup before entering Dual Match. As of patch version 0.13.7 there were ~ 68, 84, 102, 114, 118 ~ Total Chips. / Ember Key management may not be something you have thought about during the event. The best way to ensure your best possible ranking is to first work on collecting all Rare/Epic chips. Do this by using only and try your best to save all as long as possible. If you only use the Free / Ember (diamond) Pass it might be hard to fully collect all Rare/Epic before you start spending your . If you choose to buy the Vanguard Pass it will enable you to have +1 extra refresh when using /. The goal here in this situation is to force reroll 90-100% of the time. If you open a chest and only see 1 or 2 chips, Reroll for a chance at seeing 3 or more. You can never roll less chips then what was started with. The more you can maximize the number of chips you get from chest the better your ranking outcome and the better your chance at getting even better chips from . It was quickly realized that the one chip you need more than any other which makes climbing ranks in this event possible: Crit DMG deals 4/6/8% of the target's MAX HP as additional DMG (MAX: 2/3/4x Crit DMG) The goal of the above section with Chest/Key management is to increase the odds of you getting the HP Crit chip. There are of course other chips that will help you along the way. Crit Rate +3,4,5,6,7% Immune to the first 3,4,5,6,7 Damaging Hits Fortress HP +600,800,1000,1200,1400, DMG received -6,8,10,12,14 It is 100% random which chips you get. So slot them is as you get them and over time remove them as you find other chips that might be more useful. These Chips are User preference. After a weeks you should have a general idea of how to make the best use of them. If you have your own ideas of how to run the Event and wish to share them for posting, seek me out on the Discord. While this Event does have a sense of Competition, part of the fun is learning together about how different mechanics interact with one another.
